Tudor Hall

Built between 1529 and 1531 the Tudor Hall began its life as part of a boy’s grammar and music school and has been lovingly and expertly maintained and updated to become the beautiful space it is today. Handsome and vast, the Hall is adorned with high ceilings and original beams complemented by tall, elegantly piped windows which let the sun or moonlight stream through, creating the perfect ambience for your day or evening event. 

• Seats up to 100 banquet style
• Seats up to 80 cabaret style

Magnus Room

Adjacent to the Tudor Hall, the Magnus Room offers an ideal breakout space and the perfect spot for a gift table and fully stocked cash bar which, along with staff, can be included within the hire of the Hall. With no extra charge for the use of this versatile room, it offers an additional oportunity for creatively planning your event.

Tudor Courtyard

This private outdoor space with an expansive patio and lawn is ripe with possibilities, from drinks receptions for guests awaiting the arrival of bride and groom to croquet, barbeques, hog roasts or even, as we’ve enjoyed in the past, falconry displays, the sky is, quite literally, the limit. Able to accommodate catering vans with outdoor electrical sockets available, there is no additional charge for the use of this space when hiring the Tudor Hall.

Community Space

A private space next to the Tudor Courtyard, the Community Space is ideal for caterers to set up and prepare or even as a crèche, and is self-contained with its own toilets and plenty of power sockets. There is no extra charge to add this onto your Tudor Hall booking.

Newark Castle

Our wedding and events team also look after the stunning Newark Castle whose majestic walls could be the perfect backdrop to your big day. With options for weddings under the romantic bandstand in landscaped Victorian grounds or within the historic grandeur of the Castle itself, in the atmospheric undercroft, let this incredible monument lend its remarkable past to the celebration of your future.
