Designed for families, young explorers and LEGO® fans of all ages, this playful trail invites you to explore history through creativity, curiosity and a little friendly competition.

Complete the trail for your chance to WIN a LEGO® Natural History Museum set, with additional prizes also available.

What Is the LEGO® Trail?

The LEGO® Trail is a self‑guided activity that challenges visitors to search for LEGO® Minifigures hidden throughout the galleries. Each Minifigure represents a real person or story connected to Newark’s past, helping bring local history and the Civil War to life in a fun and accessible way.

As you follow the trail, you’ll explore immersive galleries, discover fascinating objects and uncover stories linked to one of the most dramatic periods in British history.

How Does the LEGO® Trail Work?

Taking part is easy:

  • Pick up a free LEGO® Trail sheet from either the National Civil War Centre or Newark Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery
  • Explore both venues at your own pace using the clues provided
  • Search for LEGO® Minifigures hidden around each site
  • Learn about Newark’s history and heritage as you go
  • Complete the trail at at least one venue and submit your sheet for a chance to win
