Cafe Nineteen20 is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 3pm.  

Turn left at reception to find us. Our friendly staff offer a warm welcome to all and a delicious selection of light lunches, sumptuous home-made cakes, gluten-free bakes, quality coffee and free wifi.

We are fully accessible and family friendly. You’ll find step-free access to the café via a lift, accessible toilets, and spacious wheelchair access. We offer highchairs, an affordable children’s menu, baby changing facilities and plenty of room for pushchairs.

Whether you are out and about in Newark, or visiting The National Civil War Centre, relax with a bite to eat in this spacious setting at the heart of the Palace Theatre, whose opening year, 1920, gives the café its name. In warmer weather enjoy your refreshments outdoors in our courtyard.

We are passionate about showcasing local produce on our menu. Many of our ingredients are sourced from local providers, supporting Newark’s fantastic independent businesses, and offering a real taste of the area during your visit.

Please note that on rare occasions the café may be subject to busy periods or closures, due to daytime theatre performances or events. These will be listed here.
