Grounds maintenance service

We look after and maintain a large amount of green space in Newark and Sherwood, including our parks and open grass areas, as well as the land on our council housing estates and sheltered schemes.

The grounds maintenance team complete the following throughout the year:

  • grass cutting
  • hedge trimming
  • tree maintenance and planting
  • weed removal and control
  • removal of debris
  • flower and bulb planting
  • playground maintenance

Grass Cutting

On all ground surrounding District Council let homes, we cut the grass between 18 – 20 times per year and it will not be left to grow taller than 120mm / 4.5in. We will cover the following routes over a two week period and you will see our teams out and about cutting your grass. The weather may change our plans slightly, but rest assured that if it does, we will be with you shorty after any really rainy or dry spells.

In addition to the maintenance services for District Council let homes in the areas listed below, we also manage all communal grounds and open spaces including play parks.
