The National Civil War Centre – Newark Museum is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Collections and Exhibitions Officer to look after the collections and exhibitions based at Newark Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery, alongside supporting the development of the museum offer at the National Civil War Centre. You will be experienced working with accredited museums/ collections and collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
With responsibility for collections care, you will provide broad access to Newark Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery through the creative use of interpretation, permanent and temporary exhibitions, talks and events.
A strong communicator, you will oversee the museum’s team of dedicated volunteers, offering curatorial advice, training, and ensuring policies and procedures are in line with accreditation standards, museum ethics and best practice.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and knowledge to support the future development of Newark Town Council’s Museum offer.
