Garden recycling service
Did you know the Council provides a garden recycling service across the district?
The scheme is now available for existing customers to renew for 2022/23.
For just £35 a year you get:
- a brown bin
- an all year-round collection service, every two weeks between March and November, and monthly from December to February.
The service runs from 1 April to 31 March. There are no concessions or pro-rata for joining the service part-way through the year. Extra bins are available at a further £35 each.
You can order or renew your brown garden recycling bin using our online form once new bookings can be placed in February.
Upon receipt of payment you’ll be sent a sticker to place on your bin. Please ensure this is clearly placed on your bin as only bins with stickers will be collected.

What can you put in your brown bin?
- grass cuttings
- hedge trimmings
- small branches and twigs (up to 10cm in diameter)
- plants and weeds
- cut flowers

Missed, lost and damaged bins
If your bin has been missed please complete our missed household bin online form as soon as possible.
If you need a replacement bin please complete our missing or lost bin online form.
If your bin is damaged, you can report this using our damaged resident bin online form so we can arrange a replacement.
We may make a discretionary charge for missing or damaged bins.
