Enjoy an enchanted Halloween as the National Civil War Centre casts a spell of family fun over half term! There are spellbinding ‌performances and magical crafts on offer at Halloween-themed fortnight of fantastical activities! Plus, with our fabulous family discount, any group including a paying child receives 20% off admission to enjoy Magic Museum, our fascinating family trails, great galleries, including the brand new 'World Turned Upside Down' and, of course, our popular costume cupboard for the perfect selfie opportunity!

 

Family Craft Activities


11am to 4pm every day

Strange Shadow Sorcery

Create stunning shadow puppets of strange magical creatures and show them off in our amazing shadow theatre!  

 

Performances


These family friendly sessions involve a bit of audience participation and are always good fun.‌ Performances every day (except Sunday) at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm

Wizards and Warlocks! 

This year's 'annual lecture' from Professor Edvard Von Goosechaser sees him cast his esteemed eye on the bewitching boys of the magical world, Wizards and Warlocks! He'll be looking at some embarassing examples of supposed 17th century sorcerors in this hilarious Halloween performance.

(On Saturday 19th October, these performances will be replaced by Imagination Museum and on Saturday 2nd November by May The Fawkes Be With You!)
