1st Marquis of Montrose Society Study Day

Saturday 30th November, 10am-5pm

We're delighted to have been chosen as the location for the 1st Marquis of Montrose Society's Study Day. Topics explored throughout the day will include Montrose's background, his reasons for abandoning the Covenanting movement, his 'Annus Mirabilis', Inverness, Dundee and most of the battles as well as the last campaign.

A variety of excellent speakers will be attending, including author Mark Turnbull, historian Paul Johnson, who has retraced Montrose's steps during the Inverlochy march, and Phinella Henderson, who has published a pamphlet detailing all the Montrose portraits.
